40 miles, 573 feet elevation. On a paved, mostly flat trail with just a little street riding. Suitable for intermediate and advanced riders (and advanced beginners who can do the mileage).

Join us for this great ride and discover two DC cycling gems: the Anacostia River Trail (ART) and the Frederick Douglass Memorial Bridge. After starting at Hains Point, we’ll pass Audi Field and then cross the Anacostia River using the stunning Frederick Douglass Memorial bridge which has a separate, protected and very wide pedestrian/cycling lane. We then ride on the paved, nearly flat Anacostia River Trail (ART) that along beautiful wetlands and the Anacostia River. We’ll take a spin around Lake Artemesia, a lovely man-made lake, after passing College Park Airport, the oldest continually working airport in the world! Along the way, we’ll stop at Vigilante Coffee in Hyattsville. Then we’ll make our way back to our starting point, crossing the river and riding by The Wharf.
This is a no- drop ride, with a leader and a sweep and no one will be left behind.
